Frequently asked questions...
How long is the wrap
process?
You will be inside the
thermal body wrap for 45 or 60 minutes, depending on your service selection. We
book our appointments with a little padding, so not to rush you and allow
you time to change clothing if necessary.
What results may I
expect?
Results vary from
person to person. Most clients burn on average 600 - 1200 calories and lose
1 to 4 pounds in their first session. Optimal weight loss
results are achieved with on-going sessions.
Clients report they also
notice a glowing complexion and softer skin, less joint and muscle
pain and an overall more relaxed well-being.
How often do you recommend wrapping?
The frequency depends on your goals. Typically, if your goal is weight loss, twice a week along with a healthy diet and participation in an exercise program is where you will receive your best benefits.
If you are looking to detox your skin, once a week is usually great.
Using thermal body wraps as a pain management tool is case-by-case. Incredible results will be felt from the very first wrap, but your pain will dictate the frequency.
Is this for men and
women?
Our clients are made
up of both men and women.
What if I have
medical issues?
Our priority is to
help you achieve your health goals. If you have pre-existing
medical concerns, especially high blood pressure or a heart condition,
please discuss your concerns with your doctor for approval. Unfortunately, if you have metal pins, plates or screws inside your body, it would not be in your best interest to wrap.
What is far-infrared heat?
To eliminate some confusion, far-infrared heat (FIR) is also referred to
as radiant heat, infrared heat or infrared energy. Far-infrared energy
is a part of the natural light spectrum of sunlight and is known for its
deep penetrating heat capabilities. The presence of far-infrared energy
in sunlight is essential and beneficial for all human beings. When far-infrared light waves penetrate a person’s skin tissue a process
called “resonance” occurs. The light wave is
transformed to heat energy and creates a thermal effect throughout the
body.
What
are the benefits of far-infrared heat?
Far-infrared benefits are immediate and
amazing! While active exercise and balanced diet are excellent
for good health, an equally good add on – thermal body wraps – lets you stay healthy in a relaxing way. Soft, soothing far-infrared heat helps you receive
the all around ‘training effect’ while simply relaxing.
Far-Infrared thermal heat is thought to be seven
times more effective at detoxifying heavy metals as opposed
to conventional heat or steam saunas. Modern diseases are a result of environmental pollutants. They are absorbed
into our body through food containing additives, antiseptics,
agriculture chemicals etc. The United States Food and Drug Administration
(FDA) have found that sweating is one of the most effective
ways to expel these chemical and heavy metal toxins from our
body.
Our body reacts to the increased FIR heating through the
natural cooling process of perspiring. Increased blood circulation stimulates the sweat glands, releasing built-up
toxins and waste. Through the perspiration process,
waste residue and toxins are removed from the cells. Thus, leaving you thoroughly relaxed, detoxified and slimmer!
